We had an awesome time snapping some shots as we roamed around a few city blocks worth of green space and historic buildings – even found a (mostly clean) abandon chair! (See below)

They were fresh off their Stag and Doe weekend (which put the venue slightly past capacity) and ready for some engagement photos. Here are my favorites

Alright.

So here begins the story. It started out as a simple engagement session in Waterloo, and then we found two large, sealed bottles of alcohol under some shrubs. We are all completely baffled to how these bottles of alcohol ended up under these bushes. They didn’t appear to be concealed, just placed labels up, under some greenery on Erb St right in front of the police station. *shrug*

Oh, and the keys got locked in the Hummer. Not pointing any fingers. CAA was called, and eventually saved the day.

We’ll start with the serious shots, and go from there.

And that’s all for serious shots. Here’s the rest

The discovery.

The product shot.

Smiles only.

Their brand new Ikea living room.

Random facts about their new Hummer:

The doors will probably lock if you get out while the keys are in (pictured above)

The windshield is pretty flat, and will attract a lot of dead bugs on the 401

It can probably drive over my Corolla

Here’s some shots from Brooke and Hrag’s engagement session in Waterloo. They’re getting married at The Pines in Cambridge just a few weeks from now – AND THEY’RE HAVING FIREWORKS. I’m very excited to say the least.

They brought the youngin’ along for the journey – he likes candy.

Here’s one from Janice and Brad’s engagement session:

It was quite the hike down to this location, a winding stone (somewhat sketchy) staircase, to a dirt path that took us a little ways away from the falls. Though, the hike back up was a little more taxing on the legs.

All in all, I’m happy Janice and Brad brought me to this beautiful location. Very excited for their August wedding!

I’m currently enjoying Kate’s leftover buffalo chicken fingers from Moose Winooski’s yesterday. They’re delicious. There’s just something about their wing sauce that is so addicting. Once upon a time I worked there, and manged to avoid getting a ‘pie in the face’ for a couple years. Other staff members were not so lucky. I was only 14 at the time, so I bussed tables. They gave me this spiffy little headset to communicate with the hostess’ – we were supposed to tell each other when tables were getting up, and when they were ready to go. Instead, we would use them to try and make each other laugh while the other person was talking to a guest.

This concludes my random lunchtime ramble of the day.

On to more important matters – Eli and Todd!
Yesterday we headed out to the Kissing Bridge in…well, West Montrose. (Is there an East Montrose?) The conditions were absolutely perfect, and it was great to finally get out here for an engagement session.

Here are a few of my favorite shots:

There’s just something magical about that last one.

Back to editing photos for me!

Yesterday evening I headed out to St. Jacobs to roam the streets with Lauren and Chris. They’re getting married at the Clay and Glass Gallery in Waterloo in September. It was a beautiful cloudy day (photographers love cloudy days – the sky is like a big soft box)

For a city that you can walk entirely around in 25 minutes, there’s a lot of photo options. I’ve just started to look through the photos, but here are two of my favorites for now.

Random insert: I had no idea Waterloo (well, St. Jacobs) had a Walmart! I’ve lived here for a good 4 years, and have never heard of it’s existence until yesterday. I’m not saying that I approve of shopping there or anything like that – I just find it funny that someone that lives less than 4 minutes away from this big store…had no idea it was there. Wonder how many other people in the area are in the same boat.

Anyways, photos:

I have a really busy week coming up with kids shoots, engagement shoots, a wedding, and a few other miscellaneous photo duties, but I’ll get through it all!
Next Tuesday I’m off to Houston and Las Vegas (yes, again!) for some photos, but I’ll be back on Sunday to help a friend photograph a wedding at The Starlight in Uptown Waterloo.

Enjoy your weekend!

They’re getting married at The Fermenting Cellar in May of next year, and I’m so incredibly happy they have chosen me to photograph their wedding day. Their wedding is going to be phenomenal.

Anyways, they’re fun and cute, and here are a few photos from their engagement session:

On Thursday evening I headed out with Jordan and Laura for a fun little shoot, mostly around uptown Waterloo, with a few stops in Kitchener. Here’s a few of my favorites from the day:

The story didn’t actually start here, this was just my favorite. It was taken on the back step of a Cantonese place in uptown..that bag to the left is full of eaten lobster claws. We were all a little awkward/jumpy around these shells..I’m unsure why.

Train tracks near Victoria Street. We stopped to snag some shots on the train cars, but I liked this the best.

Back to the Cantonese place.

Cliche orange wall.

Opposite the orange wall.

Alleyway behind the Vault.

Sketchy building.

In the parking lot of Home Hardware…what? The lighting was awesome.
