What an amazing day! You might remember Jess and Craig from their engagement shoot eariler this year

Their wedding was amazing, and so much fun!

Here’s a little slideshow of highlights from the day:

We went to the Sunlife Manulife building at the top edge of Kitchener for a few photos – followed by a nice industrial type building. I love that my couples are open to stuff like this!

If you’re getting married in Cambridge, the Hespeler Library is great rain location for photographs. The walls are glass, so there’s plenty of natural light, and there are a lot of nice textures and places to get creative.

Anyways, on to some photographs:

Jess and Marlon had the perfect day – fluffy clouds in the sky, an amazing reception location, and a beautiful church!

I met up with the guys in Cambridge first – their driveway had the nicest selection of cars I’ve ever seen on a wedding day..needless to say, they took their own cars instead of a limo.

From there it was off to the girls place, and eventually St Clement’s Parish in Preston (Cambridge). This is without a doubt one of the nicest churches in Cambridge.

After the ceremony it was off the the Elm Hurst Inn in Ingersoll – and what a beautiful place it is! Bella Wedding and Event Planning was on staff in full force and made the day run flawlessly. My friend Tim randomly showed up to DJ – I had no idea he was working the same event until he was loading in.

I had a blast at Brooke & Hrag’s wedding.

The ceremony was at Hauser Hall in Heidelberg, followed by the reception at The Pines in Cambridge (Preston)

Here’s a quick summary of the day in a random order:

• The guys did some shots at Wilfong and Son gas station out in Doon (Kate’s great grandpa + grandpa’s old gas station)
• Kate did makeup for Brooke, her sister, and a few other girls.
• Hrag has a spiffy new watch
• Brooke has a spiffy new sound system that features Jai Ho
• The girls got ready at the Waterloo Hotel in uptown (near Symposium)
• Their reception had a full length firework display.
• We ran a photobooth, and printed/framed 5x7s for the guests. (Thanks for helping, Marshall Angus)
• The entire day was amazing.
• I’m so happy they chose me to document their wedding day.
• They’re in Paris right now. Lucky.

The Pines, Cambridge

Last weekend I photographed the wedding of a fellow Hespeler hockey player, and there were so many people I haven’t seen in years.
I also met a new friend, Marj. Here’s a story for you:
Marj is a friend of Ms. P, a teacher at The Voila Institute of Hair Design in Kitchener, and she’s been to my site once or twice -she also knows Robyn, one of my Trash the Dress brides. Earlier in the week she went in to get her hair cut, and say hi – and guess who cut her hair? Kate! So Marj tried to hook Kate up with her son, but Kate said she has already found a keeper (me!). Marj goes home with the ‘I swear I’ve seen this girl before’ thought in her head, and checks out my website. Sure enough, the girl that cut her hair is one of the models in my Ladybug fashion set. She finds out that I’m photographing the wedding, she comes to say hi, and this story unfolds.
That was better than The Hills, no?

Here’s some shots from Brooke and Hrag’s engagement session in Waterloo. They’re getting married at The Pines in Cambridge just a few weeks from now – AND THEY’RE HAVING FIREWORKS. I’m very excited to say the least.

They brought the youngin’ along for the journey – he likes candy.

Now I’m off to photograph a Sunday wedding in Waterloo at Starlight with my good friend Scott Williams.

He ate a giraffe for a little while, and I took some more photos.

We took a lot of pictures in the 30 minutes we were together. He ate some grass, ate some plastic, and attempted to eat his hand. All and all, a successful mission.

We did the usual stroll around town, and got a ton of AMAZING shots. Some of my favorite shots ever, actually.

So yes, as you can see..they’re a ton of fun. They like to high five.

Lindsay and Justin are so full of life – there’s just a certain energy about them.

The day started out with Kate doing makeup and hair with the girls. I hung out with the guys, ate pizza, and talked about the legitimacy of a tanning bed tan. Is it a real, or fake tan? I feel that it’s real, because it is UV light tanning your skin – so physically it’s real, just brought on by fake means.
A spray tan on the other hand…

Anyways, from their respective houses, everyone made their way to Lakeside Church in Guelph for the ceremony, where the main foyer had been converted into a beautiful sky-lit, fashion show-esq alter. In the middle of the sea of people was a stage – a 360 viewing stage at that. Well, the musicians stood behind Lindsay’s father, who was officiating the ceremony, parents and immediate family out front, and guests to the left and right. Nervous?

After the Ceremony we headed out to Riverside Park in Guelph for some photographs. The rain mostly held off, and we got a lot of great photographs.

Onto Guelph Place, where things would eventually wrap up to Jimmy Eat World – 23 as the last dance. This is also, arguably my second favorite song of all time – Next to Brand New – Seventy Times Seven. What? I like it. It holds special meaning…or something.
