Mel and Rich had a fantastic day for their (1920′s themed) wedding! We did some photos at the Museum of Steam Technology, and eventually headed to Carmen’s in Hamilton for the reception. The entire day was so much fun, and filled with such great people!

Geraldo’s at LaSalle Park, Burlington (Hamilton)

As you can imagine, I end up at a lot of wedding venues. I’ve seen the good, the bad, the outstanding, and everything in between. I arrived Geraldo’s at LaSalle Park around 4pm on Friday to set up a photobooth for the cocktail hour – it was a beautiful day.

They had their ceremony outside and their reception in the room upstairs. The place itself it top notch, but I think the staff really makes it what it is. They were actively striving for perfection – it was really neat to see.

So all and all Geraldo’s at LaSalle Park is a great venue, and if you’re looking for a ceremony and reception location in the Burlington/Hamilton area it’s a great choice.

Tammy & Trav | Wedding | The Grand Olympia, Hamilton / Stoney Creek

Tammy and Travis were married in this past weekend in Dunnville Ontario. Their reception was at The Grand Olympia in Hamilton / Stoney Creek. Kate came with me to take photos, and place detail items artistically (shoes, rings, etc – she’s REALLY good at it.)

Janice & Brad | Webster’s Falls, near Hamilton

Websters Falls (Technically it’s in Greensville, Ontario) – I have lived in Ontario my entire life and had no idea Webster’s Falls existed. It’s a beautiful location to shoot photos at, maybe one of the nicest in Southern Ontario.

Here’s one from Janice and Brad’s engagement session:

It was quite the hike down to this location, a winding stone (somewhat sketchy) staircase, to a dirt path that took us a little ways away from the falls. Though, the hike back up was a little more taxing on the legs.

All in all, I’m happy Janice and Brad brought me to this beautiful location. Very excited for their August wedding!

Liuna Station is such a beautiful venue, and I had the opportunity to photograph Claire and Ken’s wedding there this weekend.

I enlisted the help of the girlfriend (file photo below) to be my second shooter for the day, and her photos turned out AMAZING.

(Photographer note: Yes, direct, pop-up flash sometimes works.)

Hamilton Wedding with Tahani and Ali

Over the weekend I had the honor of hanging out with Tahani and Ali on their wedding day. This was not a low key wedding. The energy level was at the roof the entire day. I don’t know how they did it, but they sure gave me a ton of photo opportunities.
These guys and girls really knew how to throw a wedding party..their chosen location: The Courtyard Marriott.

It also happened to be Ali’s birthday.
