Debbie and Larry had a cute little ceremony at Central United Church earlier today in Unionville. From there we went over to The Tannery in Newmarket – there are a ton of photo possibilities here!

The story didn’t actually start here, this was just my favorite. It was taken on the back step of a Cantonese place in uptown..that bag to the left is full of eaten lobster claws. We were all a little awkward/jumpy around these shells..I’m unsure why.

Yesterday evening I headed over there for a fun little fashion shoot with Kate (the girlfriend) and Katie (featured on a Vegemite post a few below this)
Christine from Pure Potential Weddings (wedding planning/coordination) stopped by, as well Anne from The KW Wedding Ring.
Barb, the owner of Ladybug was there to help us pull dresses, and my friend Marshall Angus also came to help out.
It was a full house. Anne and Christine even tried on wedding dresses for the camera!

Oh, Sunday was Baby Ben’s first birthday. He ate some cake.

This is my beautiful girlfriend, Kate, and one of her 3 babies.

It took me so long to post this photo (couldn’t ruin the Christmas surprise) that her hair is now blonde/red/brown.

During the course of the week, three new amazing couples signed with me, and I’m so happy to get to photograph all of their unique weddings. The ideas range for Centre in the Square – to The Children’s Museum, or on top of Talisman Ski Hill (complete with gondola rides) – to the possibility of a wedding in Brazil.
Unique weddings need a unique photographer I suppose.

Tomorrow, I’m doing a trash the dress session with 2 brides. Hint: It involves paint. Lots of primary coloured paint.

Later in the week, it’s off to Las Vegas / L.A. – I’ll bring back pictures, lots of pictures.

I’m getting really excited for Anna & Matt, and Kristen & Josh’s weddings. They’re my two winter couples for December (Dec 20 – Cambridge, and 27 – Niagara Falls). I’m hoping for just a touch of snow, with warm temperatures in the afternoon.

Tonight is my first Saturday off in quite a while (that’s the life of a wedding photographer), and it just so happens to be one of my good friends birthdays. So, in celebration, 18 of us are taking a Hummer limo to Hamilton. I don’t think any specific plans have been made past that. Anyways, happy birthday Andres! (Aka Fes – stemming from a resemblance to Fes from That 70s Show..which just so happened to be his Halloween costume this year)

Oh, I should add a few photos here. This is a photography blog after all. Last weekend I took some photos of Hollie and her beautiful puppy, Jake.

Jake has more energy than any living being probably should. He calmed down for thirty seconds, and I snapped the above. Hollie is a wonderful hairdresser that works at Cowboys and Angels in Uptown Waterloo.

I called up my brand new 2009 assistant to ask if she wanted to join in the fun tomorrow, but apparently she’s in New York City! Julie and I went to NYC for the Easter Weekend this year, so I will use this an excuse to post a few photos from my travels there.

January, I drove down with KW band named Gran Casino, to photograph their journey recording with Alex Newport (Mars Volta, At The Drive In, System of a Down) in Brooklyn. Over Easter, Julie and I nabbed the last room of an AMAZING hotel room sale, and drove down. 8 hour drive from Kitchener, and it only took my Corolla about a tank and a quarter of gas. Impressive.

Ok, that’s all. I swear. This has been my longest blog to date. My next post will likely come from Toronto’s Pearson Airport.

Our first stop was A Fine Romance, a furniture store downtown Preston (Cambridge). They sell a lot of beautiful antique furniture, and were happy to let us shoot some photos there. From there we headed over the GCI, over in Galt, and then to the old train station. Here’s some of the photos we got.

After checking my webstats today, I discovered that I have a ton of blog visitors from out in the L.A/O.C. area in California.
Well good news! Pchan and I are doing a little bit of traveling in November. We’ll be hitting Las Vegas for a wedding, and an engagement shoot, and then heading over to L.A.

Anyways, I’m off to photograph Tania and Ali’s wedding in a few hours. It’s a beautiful day for an October wedding. This week had me a bit worried.

Tomorrow I’m doing a few fashion shoots with Carrie over at http://www.beautymarked.ca/. We have a ton of great locations picked out, including a local furniture store!

Also, I’m getting really excited for Jenny’s wedding next week in Toronto. It’s an elopement, with 3 guests, at City Hall in Toronto. There are SO many good locations within about 30 seconds of there.

*Alright, so we had scoped out a beautiful red swing that Marilyn was going to sit on, and Dan would push her. As we neared the red swing, and little kid comes flying over and jumps on the swing. He proceeds to stare at us as if we’re supposed to push him. Dan did for a short time. End of story.
